I can&#039;t help but think of Paul Poiret and his signature rose. He was such a fashion avatar with his use of graphic, stenciled fabrics---highly artistic and skilled---I believe that technique of stenciling is known as pochoir.

		<description>I adore dahlias so much---but they seem to have such a brief season here! My fiancee&#039; has a very &quot;green&quot; thumb and has lots of flowers in the backyard (mostly spring and summer stuff like lilies, cosmos, astilbe, columbine, peonies, lilacs, etc.), but he also has tons of herbs: mint, basil, dill, thyme, and sage which grow well through the fall.

   I just love to add some fresh cut herbs to flowers for added dimension! Lately, I just included dried goldenrod (yes!) among fuschia carnations and blush pink spray roses. It looked like a late summer sky...:)</description>
